

Maria Lilagan, NCC, LPC, M.Ed., M.A.T., has been a counselor and an educator for more than thirty five years.
As a counselor, Maria has worked with battered women at a domestic violence shelter, designed and presented an award-winning anger management workshop series for children, given workshops on parenting, multicultural issues, and various counseling topics to professionals and clients.
As an educator, she has taught students (from preschool to graduate school) from different ethnic backgrounds in various educational settings across the United States, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
A recipient of a number of merit scholarships including two National Science Foundation grants, Maria has presented several workshops locally, nationally, and internationally to educators and business professionals.
Besides her private practice in counseling, she currently teaches at the McLaughlin Juvenile Detention Center. She has a black belt in Kung Fu San Soo.
